Poker Aces – how to bet them

Poker Aces references two aces being dealt pre-flop. It’s the strongest possible pre-flop hand inholdem Poker. But regardless a good many gamblers find themselves on the losing end when given these cards.

When you are dealt a set of Aces, you just don’t drop out pre-flop. You’re positioned with the greatest possible hand at this stage of the round. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I would say definitely no to that.

Remember, you’re trying to generate as much money from this strong position. You will want to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will merely scare most competitors into dropping out and not putting a bet.

If you are in the starting spot (first or second to actually bet), you will make a single bet. Anybody with a good hand will call, with hope somebody may raise. If someone has made a raise do not jump to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

Following the flop your strategy will be to eliminate anyone that might be able to build a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you’re lucky you’ll trick 1 player into thinking that you are bluffing.

If you’re in the middle or later seat (one of the last to place a bet) you will watch as every player calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if possible try to abstain from a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing others to fold after the flop. If you do not drive out your opponents you risk squandering your hand.
